Ronde de nuit

With Ronde de nuit, I placed Rembrandt’s The Night Watch at the center because Western painting is part of the baggage I carry with me. Around it, in the borders of the painting, I opened a journey through the jungles of the Philippines and the local ways of moving through them. The whole work is about tradition and traveling, about living between continents until one reality starts to bleed into the other.
