Henri Lamy in Knysna with SAFFCA
28 March 2023
Upcoming from June 11 to July 11, French figurative artist Henri Lamy will present a solo exhibition at the Alliance Française de Manille. The show will feature a new series of artworks and a signature capoeira painting performance.
A central element of his practice is Capoeira-Painting, a form of expression he developed in 2014. This performance art combines the rhythmic movements and interaction of the Brazilian martial art, capoeira, with the spontaneous trajectory of paint, moving beyond figurative work to embrace the unpredictable.\
